The Mayhew Inn

Located on the shores of Lake Superior, The Mayhew is a boutique hotel that truly lives up to the specialty experience. We jumped at the opportunity to design the brand and identity system for this hotel in the funky-quaint-cool Northern Minnesota vacation destination of Grand Marais. The owners left no detail overlooked, ensuring the beautifully crafted design truly shines through from the custom exterior signage to the lobby to the decor of each of the uniquely themed rooms and suites. The identity harkens back to the golden age of hotels, giving a nod to the glamour of art deco interiors within the context of the Northwoods. The result is a uniquely Minnesotan aesthetic that’s as classic as it is modern.
